Utah is a great place to get out on the water. Whether you’re an avid boater or new to the sport, there are plenty of lakes in Utah that will suit your needs. To help you find the best lake for your needs, we’ve compiled this list of some of our favorite boating lakes in Utah:
Strawberry Reservoir
Strawberry Reservoir is located in Utah County, Utah. It’s a man-made lake that was created by the construction of Strawberry Dam and Reservoir in 1913. Strawberry Reservoir offers boating opportunities for all skill levels—from novice skiers to experts who can handle large boats—but it’s also popular among fishermen who come here because there are plenty of fish species available most seasons (trout, bass and crappie). There are even some beautiful views around the lake that offer something different than what you’d find elsewhere in Utah County: beautiful trees along the shoreline provide shade during hot summer days while still giving visitors excellent views across open water towards Mt Ogden or up towards Snowbasin Ski Area.
Millcreek Marina
Millcreek Marina is located in Lehi, Utah and is the largest marina in the area. It offers boat rentals, fishing supplies, guides for all types of fishing and boat launches.
The park also has camping facilities available as well as a restaurant/bar onsite that serves food until 10pm every day except Sunday when they are closed. The marina has more than 1,000 slips available for rent at varying prices depending on size (up to 100 feet).
Elk Ridge Marina
Located in Logan, Utah, the Elk Ridge Marina has boat rentals and pontoon boats to rent. They also have ski boats and fishing boats for hire. The marina store sells fuel at their gas pumps as well as bait and tackle for those who want to fish on Lake Logan or nearby lakes.
There is an open-air boat launch with easy access for launching your vessel down into the waterway that leads off of Highway 89 near the entrance to lakefront property at this location. You can anchor at one of two docks if you prefer; there are no amenities here aside from restrooms but plenty of room for larger vessels if needed (upwards of 40 feet). A restaurant/bar serves burgers amongst other items year round while camping is available nearby at Camping World State Park which offers sites ranging from primitive tent sites all the way up through RV hookups! Fishing opportunities abound here too since this area offers ample bass populations due to its closeness with several rivers flowing into Lake Logan including Big Creek centered around Cache Valley Regional County Park where fishing licenses are available via license vendors located outside most grocery stores throughout Utah Valley regionally speaking.
Little Salt Lake Marina
Located in Grantsville, Little Salt Lake Marina is a great place to rent a boat. They offer rentals and sales, as well as boat slips and launch ramps. The marina store sells groceries and other supplies, while the fuel dock provides fuel for your motorboat or jet ski.
The marina also has a restaurant on site called The Rivoli Grill & Pub where you can enjoy some food before heading out on the lake with your family members or friends!
Ocean Beach
The Jordanelle Reservoir is the largest body of water in Utah and a popular place for boating, fishing, and camping. It’s also home to many species of birds including bald eagles and osprey.
In addition, the lake is located within the huge Jordanelle Park, so you can expect everything you need for a quality vacation, including camping. In addition, camping and boating on this lake will bring you as close to nature as possible. The proximity of the mountains and forests will create an unforgettable atmosphere. In addition, this is why you can get the best quality recreation here – mountain air, calm water and the silence of the forest will relieve you from the stress after a busy week in the city.
Deep Creek Reservoir
Deep Creek Reservoir is located in Utah County, and it’s one of the largest reservoirs in the state. The lake has a surface area of 673 acres, making it ideal for fishing or boating.
