Best Beaches in Key Largo

There are dozens of beaches in Key Largo. Some are quiet, secluded spots, while others are lively and popular with locals. The following is a list of some of the best beaches in Key Largo, Florida.

Best Beaches in Key Largo

Anne’s Beach

Anne’s Beach is a sandy beach on the north side of Key Largo. It’s located in Anne’s Beach Park, which has picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and showers. You can also rent kayaks here or take a guided boat tour around Dry Tortugas National Park (an archipelago off Florida’s west coast).
There are lots of things to do at Anne’s Beach Park: you can swim in the ocean or one of two pools; snorkel near reefs just offshore; fish from shore or deep sea dive if you’re certified; play volleyball on one side of the park while someone else plays soccer on another side; walk out onto North Key Largo Island via a wooden boardwalk bridge that crosses shallow water between land and island — this is where there used to be an old lighthouse keeper’s house until it burned down several years ago — then hike along trails through mangroves toward other islands including Cudjoe Key where Ernest Hemingway once lived!

Cannon Beach

There is plenty of fish around Cannon Beach as well as other wildlife like dolphins, turtles, and manatees!

Sombrero Beach

Sombrero Beach is a great place to snorkel and watch the sunset. There are picnic tables, restrooms, and parking spaces if you want to stay for a while. It’s not crowded at all so you don’t have to worry about people getting in your way or bothering you while enjoying nature’s beauty. If you’re looking for an active vacation, this beach will definitely suit you. The fact is that there are many playgrounds where you can do sports such as volleyball. This beach is interesting because it is the famous turtle nesting ground. So if you want to watch these animals, this beach is the best place to do it. However, keep in mind that during the active turtle nesting season, some parts of the beach may be closed to the public. This is done to protect the animals, so you should check this information before you visit.

Largo Sound

Like any other beach on this list, Largo Sound provides guests with excellent swimming and sunbathing opportunities. However, this beach is also famous for providing plenty of other activities to suit all tastes. First of all, it is a great beach for snorkeling. Snorkeling is a great activity for the whole family, so don’t be surprised if you see kids, adults, and even grandparents swimming around in the water with masks on their faces!
Boating enthusiasts will also feel at home here. But one of the most interesting water activities that this beach offers is fishing. Here you can rent a fishing boat, so do not worry if you do not have your own. Even if you don’t want to fish, but just want to see the fish, you’ll love it here. The fact is that the beach is quite clean and has clear water, so you’ll see lots of fish swimming around in this area – it’s like an underwater aquarium!
If you don’t want to swim and interact with the water, but just want to have a quiet weekend, Largo Sound will suit you too. There is a picnic area near the beach where you can relax while enjoying nature and eating lunch.
